HISTORY IS IN THE MAKING, as humankind has become so incredibly powerful with information, technology and communication, we have the ability to collectively influence or be influenced to really help or screw up a good thing with the life, relationships and environment on this miracle of a planet. The fact that humans have consumed more resources on Earth in the last 50 years than in all human history, begs the question of what havoc, in the air, on land and in the waters, are we setting in motion, that can't be reversed. Because of the increasing toll of our consumption habits and our religious and economic war machine potential for mass catastrophe, more than ever, we are at a critical time in history to hurry up and collectively realize our contract obligation with future generations to hand over a well protected and cared for planet. We have so many distractions influencing us to be ignorant, selfish and apathetic as well as many influences motivating us to be informed, alert and engaged. Is ignorance and selfishness a mental illness epidemic? Is it my imagination or does everyone seem to have somewhere between a little to a lot of some kind of mental illness? Well this website is from another imperfect person attempting to join the mass of good influences.
WHO ARE WE? As moment by moment action and inaction defines who people of this generation are, our purpose, mission and legacy, no matter what our vision or lack of vision is, we are always carving out and planting the state of health and sustainability for future generations. Because of our affect on future generations we are certainly our future brother's/sister's keeper. Because we have the ability to see the whole picture, we naturally can act responsible for the whole picture in the name of past and future generations... what other purpose besides being decent every moment to each other could there be? What other species can handle this obligation? Republican, Democrat or Independent, we all make an impact and need to work together to make that impact 100% positive. Awareness of thought and action is important, because we can be like a bull in a china shop, unaware of the domino effect, in a place where everything is so interconnected. That big moment by moment, huge responsibility, is passing by many un-noticed as we shop, construct, entertain, politicize, socialize, produce and consume with a vote for or against the well being of everything related to our home here on Earth.
THE EARTH BELONGS TO WHO? Rising to the occasion as earth stewards and good neighbors, aren't these two of the most important and golden rules of all? Isn't it true that humans born on this planet are in a naturally formed contract to honor past and serve future generations? Doesn't all private rights, in regards to nonrenewables, fall under the context of this assumed trust account contract? This "contract" of managing this earth trust account principal for future generations while we survive off of the interest, should be a torch passed to our descendants in perpetual motion, double checked with a little bit of devil's advocate friction to make sure we aren't getting too carried away. Is there an excuse for anyone in their right mind to feel anything but very grateful and protective about the basics of our life support... clean air, clean water, non toxic and safe food and shelter? Anything less is biting the hand that gives you life support... Fresh air and water gives us our breath, wet eyes and wet tongue to represent and give future generations' a viewpoint and voice. Most people don't think of their assumed roles as good steward or good neighbor in regards to their moment by moment thoughts and actions. Personally, I just plain forget who I am... what I represent and all that I am responsible for on this planet in regards to my duty to neighbors, the environment and all things held in trust. Okay, so I have a lot to work on about my own behavior and I am far from being a good neighbor/ steward role model... but I am effectively trying to improve, empowered by information like what is provided in the home page links below.
CURING MENTAL ILLNESS: Mental illness as distress or disability defined by a combination of how a person feels, acts, thinks or perceives has become the accepted norm in many cultures. In some cases the problem is biological... in many cases it develops as a result of stresses and social influences. In these latter cases, a lack of education of how to manage and protect one's own mind and relate well to others is a problem. People need a default mode for healthy, common sense operation. Humans are directly and indirectly beating this planet and its occupants up due to the disabling lack of information and understanding of what and how things happen. One effective solution to the mental illness crisis is for people to be positive, creative reminders for each other regarding what is at stake, what is happening and how things are happening. Reminders of what we hold in trust for future generations. What we owe in terms of decency to each other right now.
THE ART OF EMPOWERMENT AND DISEMPOWERMENT: Certified, accurate information posted directly to what people are voting or buying into is key to finding common direction(invisible hand principle) and guiding world health centered, responsible, human effected developments and evolution. The art of witholding or distorting information to sell a product, action or idea, is as old as the first act of human BS and relies on the fact that people can be taken as fools. Starting point is with personal awareness of the cause and effect of empowerment and dis-empowerment in all thoughts words and actions. Is disempowerment a knee jerk, human evolved survival habit? Haven't we evolved beyond the "every man for himself" attitude. You ever wonder why some people naturally are "pick-R- uppers" and others seem to be natural "put-R-downers?" Now how does that happen? - Force of habit, how they were raised, influenced and educated. Duh! This self-centered, power trip shit is programmed by our influences!!! We can be medicine or poison to ourselves and each other in each moment of thought and action depending upon how we are centered, mindful and "setup" to operate in a world of conflicting power schemes.
Where the rubber meets the road, beyond all religious dogma, one of the world's greatest role models to ever selflessly serve on this planet was a woman named Mother Teresa, who once said, " If we have no peace it is because we have forgotten that we all belong to each other. " This website is an attempt to dive into the pool of good reminders and splash around, have some fun.
